Dear gifter, nice to meet you! I go by Medusa, she/her, antimony_medusa on Ao3 and discord, if you’ve seen me around. This is my first time doing FFFX and I am very 👀 at the whole thing. Blame the discord for convincing me I could absolutely do triple crown, it’s simple easy and free– well. We’ll see!

I have offered prompts as much as possible, but I know those are a bit impacted by being the ideas I remembered to write down over the last year. • Playing with someone’s hair as a gesture of love/affection
• “You say you’re no good, but you’re good for me” yes this is a lyric from kpop demon hunters shhhhhhhhh we all find inspiration in different places
• Conversations or interactions in which things are not said directly, but in the hollow space between the words, OH, the care is there.
• Conversely, taking these series of people who are bad at emotions and speaking who I’ve been requesting and forcing them to talk about the importance of the relationship to them. Puts them in the hydraulic press– tell your loved ones you love them, you bastards.
• It took me this entire letter to realize this but I think I have a soft spot for people who find emotions hard, whether that’s because they’re repressed, or emotions are overwhelming, or speaking about them never seems to work, or no one is listening, or because they’re eleven. You do not have to do that but like do not ever worry that you are writing people “too repressed” or “too bad at emotions”, my initial comfort characters were literally worf and spock star trek. I have a murderbot book on my desk. Gestures to my requested characters.
• Inhuman POV/perspective, for example Fae, robot, character who doesn’t think of themself as a person, hive mind, etc— showing a different form of cognition and reaching past that gap.
• Mercyfic. Just fuck me up.
• I have a specific fondness for aus or stories in which someone finds a home or community or a friend after a period without that, which you can kind of see throughout this whole likes list, but other examples of the trope include college or early-20s AU but specifically through the lens of finding queer or nerd community and finding there are other people like you (full permission to bring in crushing loneliness or bullying or outright queerphobia as something that you are now realizingly with startlement isn’t in this place, even if it is in others), people in their 30s or later who’ve been alone a long time finding love or friendship or both (same permission stands for The World Has Told You You Are Intrinsically Wrong framing), and that entire trope of “human weapon gets stolen/rescued and has FRIENDS now”.
• Is this mercyfic in a funny hat. MAYBE SO.

Okay like fucking hit me. This is the ship that got me writing fic, shipping, and interested in fandom in general. I like them all ways. Romantic or platonic or QPR. I just want them to be besties. I'm interested both in like explorations of worldbuilding because we like aus or focused domesticity, established relationship or pining, fuck– platonic or qpr it or romantic I like it still. Big beefy techno, pretty boy techno, bastard Phil, considerate nerd phil, either person being pregnant, an exploration of disability and healing, something set like to the minute after doomsday or in an au with no connection to canon— follow your bliss.

Likes for this ship: I am having trouble summing this up, forgive me. I like it when Phil is a bastard, and I also like it when he is an anxiety basket case. I like it when Phil can make Techno's head go quiet and Techno trusts him enough to get him to do that. I like it when Techno is the one person Phil relaxes around. I like it when Techno is anxious and this does not stop him at all. I like them both autistic. I like it when they love each other but they are not good at saying it so they will just show it— hand you a totem of undying, build my house next to yours, come when you call. I like loyalty oaths. I like it when they are terrifying badass motherfuckers who WILL bomb you to bedrock, and I like it when they watch turtles hatch. I like canon and I like aus. • You know that tumblr post that's like "if something tried to lure me with an impostor of someone I knew I’d just lasso the thing and take him home to enjoy my friends Dave and Evil Dave"? That but redza.
• Phil and Techno are heroes and villains on the opposite sides, and the hero one gets absolutely whammied/whumped by other villains, and then the villain has to rescue them and take them home to recover. Alternately, fuck them up with the “hero and villain captured by worse villain” original works prompt.
• cliches are bad, you say? What about enemy shows up bloody and bruised on your doorstep because they had nowhere else to turn? Hmmm? That’s what I THOUGHT.
• Okay so I’ve seen this trope happen TWICE with reincarnation, including in the death shall come on swift wings and in the aufest omegaverse au, and neither one really leaned into this, and I simply think it could go so fucking hard if you have techno who thinks he’s being captured to be tortured or that he has to kill the emperor/god/mafia boss, and then the emperor takes him alive, and then he wakes up in the emperor’s bed.
• What if Techno was a very neurodivergent kid and Phil was the also kid who can turn into a crow who he met in the woods. And they were friends. (Note: I think this one could turn into “and it’s the apocalypse” or “and then friendship and happiness” so follow your bliss.)
• Based on that web weave about emduo betrayal, but I couldn’t leave it there, but what if we have the emduo betrayal ideas:
• One where Techno is like a king in a cutthroat court and always on edge and being betrayed and all he wants is to be able to trust someone and Phil is an adviser using him like the rest and THEN a different phil gets isekaied into adviser phil and he literally can’t fathom being horrible to a techno who likes and trusts him. And then FRIENDSHIP HAPPENS.
• Star trek mirrorverse (or a fantasy au etc using that concept of an evil universe) where a techno from the mirrorverse (phil is his superior who expects service and sexual favours in return for protection) swaps with a techno from alpha verse where emduo are nerd besties
• And then either you follow this techno who is experiencing friendship and loyalty for the first time and something in him just is a plant getting sunlight for the first time (and maybe starts kissing Phil and phil is startled and delighted and and something happens there and techno is continuously startled when phil is kind to him).
• Or you follow the techno who just got dropped into betrayal world and his best friend is cruel and expects him to kneel to him (/sx) and everything is bad. And then, I am looking at you with the :weh: emotion, and we are putting aside the question about if this is a reasonable relationship arc in real life, what if phil sees techno in a place where techno should betray him, and expects him to turn, and techno won’t do it, and phil is like do I hve to walk you step by step through advancing your career, you should have killed me what’s wrong with you, and techno’s like but I don’t want to *stubborn* and phil is like what is WRONG with you and then gets a chance to throw techno away and finds himself not doing it and then is like fine. I take over the world and I’m taking you as my pet enforcer and mirror!phil decides to be loyal to one (1) person. And then they take over the galaxy or something. (Note: this is the one where the “unrequested” part of unrequested noncon between members of the ship comes in. Feel free to consent issues that guy up using evil phil.)
• Phil gets killed and Techno is gonna stop at absolutely nothing to get the revival book to get him back.
• Gestures of affection after doomsday

• Winning General/Respected Opposing General Who is Their Postwar Arranged Marriage Spouse {this prompt could be so techza I think
• Hurt/Comfort to the max, consider: Best friends (maybe considering more if you want) who are on call with each other (in space! In canon! In superhero au!) and then one or the other of them gets Got and Bad Things Happen and the other person can’t get to them in time but is on the line. That’s the Hurt. And then we hit the COMFORT which is they goddamn go to get them, and get them out, and then healing happens. Honestly I think this trope might be bulletproof you can do that with any pairing.
• In the whole world, there is this person you trust enough to cuddle into them and rest.

Techniki

I am a recent convert to this ship, I’ve seen things going around and I didn’t really get it but I supported it and then like a month ago I sat upright and was like “niki nihachu deserves to be kissed and supported and I know just the guys to do it” and here we are.

Likes for this ship: God. I think Niki Nihachu deserves the world and she should get a partner who adores her. She should get to be angry and she should get to be held and she should have Really Good Sex and be kissed all over her face about it. I like it when Techno is a neurodivergent nerd, whether he's a beefy boy or built like someone who plays competitive bedwars. I like it when Techno is gentle with Niki and that sometimes means treating her normally, not like glass. I like it when Niki is the heart of the story and she watch as she gets to find herself loving again. I like it when emotions are hard and awful but worth having, in the end.

Specific Prompts

• Playing with hybrid worldbuilding– what if niki was piglin? Is she connected to her culture or removed from it and does she have feelings about that? What if she was avian/elytrian? I have seen some approaches to this with niki as diaspora and they make me go crazy, or just fucking throw up a bunch of worldbuilding here!
• Established comfortable Niki in an au (superhero? fantasy?) who comes into contact (hires?) this kind of raggedy guy who presents himself as good for violence mostly, and then to everyone’s delight they become friends—he keeps making her laugh, he helps out without making it a big deal, she wants him to stay around. And then she wants him to stay around for MORE reasons.
• Identity shenanigans Techniki
• Techniki making gifts for each other
• Yes people have done so much with techniki baking however consider. Techniki baking
• Niki gently bullying Techno into cuddles.
• Okay like this is very vague, but something with Niki being the person everyone thinks they understand– she’s the baker, she’s wilbur’s first lady, she’s angry now (haha watch out), she’s crazy I hear– and techno being the person everyone has slotted into “weapon and violence” slot, and then when they meet, they actually see each other, and both people get that shock of recognition of oh my god this person sees me as a person. And they get to be people together.

QNBza

Look. It’s 2025. Let’s push the cubes together like dolls.

Likes: I like Q as a guy who is extremely angry and used to this being a problem and is maybe still processing the fact that these people are not mirroring that back at him at anything more than a bit, Techno as any flavour of deeply neurodivergent nerd– is q into his smarts or the fact that he looks like he could benchpress a tank? Both?-- who is so delighted to be amused by Q, and Phil as a paranoid-and-chill bastard who’s processed one (1) emotion in his life but loves his people with an undying loyalty. If Techza is murder central making space in the sandwich for Q that’s lovely, if they are just nerds that Q has sighted like a lion sighting a wounded gazelle that’s also lovely. If we make size difference a feature of this situation that’s delightful.

Specific Prompts:

• “Omegas Are Assigned To Groups Of Alphas To Keep The Alphas From Getting Too Aggressive”. So Omegaverse dystopian horror and people doing their best despite going THIS SYSTEM IS A NIGHTMARE is something that can be so interesting to me. Especially if you start to unpack people who think it’s their job to be available for sex, and other people who care about consent a lot actually and find this horrifying.
• I usually think about this with Q as the omega, but you could also do something wild and wacky with either phil or techno as an omega and the other two are alphas warily circling each other.
• Post-canon meeting up– is one of them injured? Is one of them in heat? Why do they have to work together? What happens next?
• Going to a person you hate for help because there’s no one else (In an au or in canon!)
• Okay so stick with me here. Either in an AU or in canon, Q needs to hire someone to do something for las nevadas/his company, and he hires Phil. Phil starts coming by. Phil is friendly when he pauses in his work. Quackity starts looking forward to taking his coffee out and talking with this guy. Phil is going home and telling Techno about the guy at the job site and what he’s up to. Job ends everybody is kinda like :( guess that’s over. PARTY HAPPENS, people show up fancy, drinks are drunk, decisions are made, quackity gets what he wants and what he wants is an older man making out with him in the coat closet. Everybody has to go home after that. Techno finds this HILARIOUS and decides to get them together, is very startled to find out that he’s included too. Bonus complication: wilbur is quackity’s ex who moved last year and every so often the spectre of “I kissed this guy’s son” “my son has fucked this guy” floats between them. And then they wave the spectre aside and double down.
• Okay so we have an AU setting and they’re all rich and successful business people, and they dress up nice and go to the industry gala, and there’s an open bar and the gala is in a hotel, and maybe decisions to threesome are made, everyone has a fantastic time, everyone goes home. Oh no. Now we have to business work together, and I keep thinking about you naked.
• Q starts individually dating techno and phil and then finds out that they aren’t together they just like, live together and pine, and he’s like what the FUCK, how are you two alive. You two are going to fuck each other and then you’re going to fuck me, take your pants off immediately.
• They could be a family….

Okay so.

Ahahahaha. *the camera pans to me, who started watching during the prison arc* *I am pressing my hands to the class like the sickos emote* Look. It's good. It's a good dynamic, okay? What if you had two guys who were constantly in conflict and you make them have to rely on each other? Like I hear and I see you pointing to canon violence but what if they argued but ALSO they were friends? I am very predictable, yes, I know. And once we add in the KISSING options, including pregnancy– isn't this an appealing concept I'm showing you? There's size difference and arguing and possibly knocking someone up in the mix? You are with me, I know. I am constantly holding up Quackity trying to kill Techno in butcher’s army in one hand and in the other hand I have “did I just say I love you Technoblade live on stream”. WHAT IF WE PUT THEM IN A BLENDER TOGETHER.WHAT IF THEY WERE FRIENDS.

Specific Prompts:

• Town’s free use slave/trustworthy new master who just bought him for company in the mountains {I think this could be so QNB. Quackity is ground down and whumped and gets picked up by someone awkward who respects him and is bringing him somewhere to free him? Take this one to romance OR likeuse this as the setup for something platonic where Q just gets to have a friend.
• techno and quackity ‘sham marriage’ for a deal where techno is chiller than quackity’s previous non-sham marriage and quackity starts crashing out that his husband doesn’t want to hit that
• Post-canon meeting up– is one of them injured? Is one of them in heat? Why do they have to work together? What happens next?
• Going to a person you hate for help because there’s no one else (In an au or in canon!) What, you say, I have requested this multiple times for multiple ships? That’s because it fucking slaps. Next question.
• Okay so, to back up a bit: there’s an au that you may have seen circulating where Technoblade, either because of a curse or because of mob hybrid status, cannot refuse a direct order. That’s why Tubbo’s execution, and that’s also why he gets super squirrelly about talking around things as soon as people start asking him for things. And Techno is like well I had a good run of having free will I guess that’s over, at least I can take comfort in the fact that Phil is gonna kill quackity in the face, and then, to his own shock, Quackity deciding that he COULD be that person, but idk, is this post his slime death? Is he just thinking about cycles of violence? Did he just with a vague sense of surprise just find his line in the sand? Is he thinking about someone else’s affection for techno (tommy?)-- but he decides no. that’s not who I’m gonna be. And is trustworthy with Techno’s literal life in his hands.

• Chayanne shows off the potato farm and Techno tells him he did a good job and maybe tells him more about the Potato war! Look I am not immune to Chayanne gets positive affirmation, and I think that would be pretty positive affirmation for Techno too.
• Play more with MCYT tropes– Chayanne gets kidnapped by Bad Guys and there is this other guy here who keeps making jokes and Chayanne is doing his best to make jokes back, and be brave (for other kids? Are there other kids here?) and then they BREAK OUT TOGETHER.
