I have a general DNW here, and have listed some fandom-specific DNWs where appropriate. If I generally DNW a thing (MCD, for example), but I prompt something that might require it, the prompt takes precedent. I assume that if a thing comes up significantly in canon it’s okay to include with the characters who have it as a strong part of their narrative– I’d prefer not child endangerment stories in general but some of QSMP is pretty informed by child endangerment in canon– and have specified any exceptions to that in fandoms-specific DNWs

Okay like fucking hit me. This is the ship that got me writing fic, shipping, and interested in fandom in general. I like them all ways. Romantic or platonic or QPR. I just want them to be besties. I'm interested both in like explorations of worldbuilding because we like aus or focused domesticity, established relationship or pining, fuck– platonic or qpr it or romantic I like it still. Big beefy techno, pretty boy techno, bastard Phil with a soft spot for one (1) person, considerate nerd phil, an exploration of disability and healing, something set like to the minute after doomsday or in an au with no connection to canon— follow your bliss.

Likes for this ship: I am having trouble summing this up, forgive me. I like it when Phil is a bastard, and I also like it when he is an anxiety basket case. I like it when Techno is the one person Phil relaxes around. I like it when Techno is anxious and this does not stop him at all. I like them both autistic and ADHD. I like it when they love each other but they are not good at saying it so they will just show it— hand you a totem of undying, build my house next to yours, come when you call. I like loyalty oaths. I like it when they are terrifying badass motherfuckers who WILL bomb you to bedrock, and I like it when they watch turtles hatch. I like canon and I like aus. I like it when Techno is a big piglin brute and I like it when he is built like a nerd. • You know that tumblr post that's like "if something tried to lure me with an impostor of someone I knew I’d just lasso the thing and take him home to enjoy my friends Dave and Evil Dave"? That but redza.
• Phil and Techno are heroes and villains on the opposite sides, and the hero one gets absolutely whammied/whumped by other villains, and then the villain has to rescue them and take them home to recover. Alternately, fuck them up with the “hero and villain captured by worse villain” original works prompt.
• cliches are bad, you say? What about enemy shows up bloody and bruised on your doorstep because they had nowhere else to turn? Hmmm? That’s what I THOUGHT.
• What if Techno was a very neurodivergent kid and Phil was the also kid who can turn into a crow who he met in the woods. And they were friends. (Note: I think this one could turn into “and it’s the apocalypse” or “and then friendship and happiness” so follow your bliss.)
• Phil gets killed and Techno is gonna stop at absolutely nothing to get the revival book to get him back.

• Phil as this guy who’s had a bunch of bad roommate situations so he lives alone, and this is fine, and he’s ignoring how lonely he is. And he starts imagining a person beside him on the couch, someone asking him how his day is, and he kind of is leaning into this cause it’s fun but at the same time making fun of himself for having an imaginary friend, but then suddenly one day his imaginary friend does something and Phil realises that he’s been so lonely he’s made contact with a ghost, his imaginary friend is real. They were both so lonely they found a way to talk to each other. And then he finds a way to bring him back to life and they hug/kiss.
• In the whole world, there is this person you trust enough to cuddle into them and rest.

Techniki/Technikiza

I am a recent convert to this ship, I’ve seen things going around and I didn’t really get it but I supported it and then like a month ago I sat upright and was like “niki nihachu deserves to be kissed and supported and I know just the guys to do it” and here we are.

Likes for this ship: God. I think Niki Nihachu deserves the world and she should get a partner or two who adores her. She should get to be angry and she should get to be held and she should have Really Good Sex and be kissed all over her face about it. I like it when Techno is a neurodivergent nerd, whether he's a beefy boy or built like someone who plays competitive bedwars. I like it when Phil was so lonely for so long and that still weighs on him sometimes, but he has people now. I like it when both Phil and Techno are gentle with Niki and that sometimes means treating her normally, not like glass. I like it when Niki is the heart of the story and I watch as she gets to find herself loving again.

Specific Prompts

• Established techza courting Niki (they are bad at it) but she thinks they’re not serious.
• Playing with hybrid worldbuilding– what if niki was piglin? Is she connected to her culture or removed from it and does she have feelings about that? What if she was avian/elytrian? I have seen some approaches to this with niki as diaspora and they make me go crazy, or just fucking throw up a bunch of worldbuilding here!
• Recovering after a bad/abusive/complex relationship– guys I am taking my heart in my hands here and asking for a lot but let’s try—All of technikiza has a history with wilbur– what if an exploration of that grief and hurt and sorrow and moving forward. Note that for this one I’m okay with an exploration of niki and wilbur as being abusive/neglectful, but the needle I am asking to thread is that there is no outright vilification of wilbur by the narrative (niki can feel however she feels and that’s fair), I am asking for a thing where yes it was bad and even abusive and wilbur was at fault but also there were reasons, you get me? Avoid the insane wilbur soot tag, etc. Let it be complicated, grief is complicated, healing is complicated. But let them find comfort in each other.
• Established comfortable Niki in an au (superhero? fantasy?) who comes into contact (hires?) these kind of raggedy guys, and then to everyone’s delight they become friends—they keep making her laugh, they help out without making it a big deal, she wants them to stay around. And then she wants them to stay around for MORE reasons.
• Identity shenanigans Techniki
• Techniki making gifts for each other
• Yes people have done so much with techniki baking however consider. Techniki baking
• Niki gently bullying Techno (and or phil) into cuddles.

Reaper Trio

So over the summer I wrote a mech au with kristin as the main character and then I sat bolt upright and was like “my wise friends who prompted this are so wise. I need to do more with these people”. God. A goddess and her devotees, an exploration of loyalty, an exploration of love, an exploration of healing. I like both when people really lean into the divinity of kristin (and maybe make the others deities too or devotees), or if people set an AU where Kristin is just human– but the unshakeable loyalty and devotion is still there.

I’m open to romantic or secret third thing for this, in whatever combination of relationships you want to map the polycule.

Likes for this ship: I like it when everyone involved a huge fan of each other’s work, I like it when they are a messy polycule where not everyone is romantic with each other but they love each other and they love each other for the joy they bring other people they love– kristin’s husband phil and phil’s boyfriend techno– you get it. I also love it when they are an entangled knot who all love each other and maybe sleep in a pile.

Specific Prompts:

• Goddess of Death and Blood God and their favourite mortal. What is the divinity of it all like? Give me gods about it.
• QPR these bitches. Not in the sense of romance-lite but in the sense that yes, you, you are part of my life, we are entangled, and what it looks like from the outside can be whatever. Completely blow up what is expected by society– what does that relationship look like?
• Making a life in the end after canon, finding domesticity, healing grief.
• Superhero au where techno is teasing phil about his crush and then the scary lady starts flirting with him too and he’s incredibly startled but– into it?

Cabinetduo

*quietly moves non-canon family in my DNW to “unrequested” column*

They can be sisters, you know. They can be cousins. They can have an undefinable bond based on having lived through Some Shit and they will never outlive the scars but you carry on, right. They can be coworkers. Where is dee’s web weave about “this is my brother and I need a shovel to love him”. They were both So Young and the world hit them so hard.

Specific Prompts:

• We mash up that open ambiguous ending tag and the emotion “don’t go where I can’t follow” and we just see what happens.
• Urban fantasy. Space. Modern au. Fucking kids in foster care together. Superhero AU. Put them on boats. They look great in an au.
• CANON COMPLIANT how do you feel about something about the cookie outpost or making a kinder post-canon ending. What if they got to get better.
• Tubburger slice of life. Manberg slice of life but evil.
• SEXUALITY REALIZATION I think this could be heartfelt OR this could be hilarious. Fuck it gender realization them too if you want while youre at it.
• Road trip– for a good reason? Because they’re on the run? Just because they needed to move? Go for it!

Both of these characters are kind of embedded in a web of relationships so feel free to bring in others– tommy or ranboo or karlnapity showing up is fine. I’m also fine if you want to bring in any of emduo or niki but that’s more cause I am predictable and well known to be a certain way.

QNB/Preyduo

Okay so. Look. It's good. It's a good dynamic, okay? On the one hand you have platonic preyduo and what if you had two guys who were constantly in conflict and you make them have to rely on each other? Like I hear and I see you pointing to canon violence but what if they argued but ALSO they were friends? I am very predictable, yes, I know. And also in the other hand you have KISSING options. Isn't this an appealing concept I'm showing you? There's size difference and arguing and cuddling? You are with me, I know. I am constantly holding up Quackity trying to kill Techno in butcher’s army in one hand and in the other hand I have “did I just say I love you Technoblade live on stream”. WHAT IF WE PUT THEM IN A BLENDER TOGETHER.WHAT IF THEY WERE FRIENDS.

• Post-canon meeting up– is one of them injured? Are they just lonely? Why do they have to work together? What happens next?
• Going to a person you hate for help because there’s no one else (In an au or in canon!)
• Getting married to get past this checkpoint (in a dystopia! Or an au!) and then I’m MARRIED? To THIS GUY? What NOW?

• AU where for [car slamming door] reasons quackity needs a date to a formal event and for [cat screaming] reasons it has to be techno and for [someone steps on an airhorn] reason techno says yes and quackity is just prepping for disaster and already raging and then techno shows up in a nice suit and does not disgrace him? He’s actually having fun? Mods? This can’t be right.

Solo Techno

In a huge shock to anyone who’s met me, we have the “anything you want as long as techno is here” prompt. I would still like a happy ending for my boy, but feel free to be very mean to him on the way there as long as it doesn’t break DNW. Give him hypothermia. Riff on time in prison. Put him in a modern au with just the WORST job. OR we go the other way and just have something lovely with our friend Technoblade. World’s your oyster.

I just. This is my guy. He’s been my guy for a while. Feel free to whump him, give him a good day, give him a bad day that he gets comforted at the end of, put him in a cage, give him friends, whatever as long as it gets to be the philza show. I love that he’s a survivor and so much older than anyone else and still getting up and digging gravel and building a pumpkin farm, that he cares about people even when they are baffling, that he’s got so much history and grief and he’s still going. Slaps top of bird. This guy can hold so much anxiety and adhd and you gotta get up and keep going. I love that he doesn’t particularly think of himself as a good person or even a bad person, just someone who does things that needs to be done, and then he gets up in the morning again. I’m holding him gently like hamburger. Put him in the torments! Give him a new and exciting girlfriend or boyfriend! Write me a romcom starring this guy or a character study, go to town. Has he ever processed an emotion in his life? Let’s give him some more to deal with.

Hi i’m medusa I’m new to quackity but I like him. Blorbo. What if a guy was small and angry and wanted power so much he could fucking taste it and this sowed the seeds of his own destruction also what if he had friends and people who loved him because he was great and he didn’t get destroyed at all.

• What if quackity worked at starbucks. Put him in the torment nexus. If you do not vibe with starbucks put him in your personal job hell. Enrichment for him.
• Blorbo has a terrible day in which a thousand small things go wrong and goes home and Something Else Goes Wrong and they fucking Lose It and then they get comforted
• LET THE HATRED CONSUME YOU. STEP ONTO THE CYCLES OF VIOLENCE. WHAT IF YOU STAYED MAD FOREVER. Just lock into the rage for good you know.
• Has To Wear Punishment Collar For Reasons - Now It Is Malfunctioning. I think this is the kind of situation that he would get into.
• Business takeover of some kind but specifically wacky hijinks about it. Financial crimes but comedy. Or financial crimes played dead straight but that one would require more research I think.
• Quackity and people of your choice making food item that is culturally or personally significant to you of your choice.

Solo Niki

I just love her. I love it when she is allowed to be angry and when she’s allowed to heal. What if she was a wildfire. What if she built her own deliverance. What if she got to leave people who hurt her in the past. What if she was a friend and a lover and an artist and someone living her life.

Likes for this ship: I like her angry and I like her allowed to be soft, I like when she’s a nerd, I like when she gets a partner who adores her, I like when she finds joy in creation and friendship, I like when she is comfortable alone in a life she’s built.

Prompts:

• Honestly I would love it if you take any sort of my favourite aus and just let Niki be the star– put her in a superhero au! Put her in a fae au! Put her in a space au! Let her be the star!
• Canon reflection– Niki’s lore is SO rich and if you wanted to reflect on manberg years, on the breakdown rage and it was never meant to be, on finding a circle in the syndicate and learning to stand on her feet again. A lot of the later dsmp lore was struggling to get people to work together or those huge scripted scenes with 20 people in VC, and what if it was interpreted and let her work out some of those messy feelings. I just ask that you not bash the rest of the syndicate– if you feel that you can’t write later lore without reflecting on syndicate as being bad people or bad for niki, I ask that you not write that time period– I think that’s a valid interpretation, I just would prefer it not in my gift. Wilbur counts as requested for this prompt!
• Niki post-canon– does she set up a life in the end? Does she start an entirely new life somewhere else? Feel free to make up OCs for this, or bring in characters from any other smp you wish, I’d just like to see your version of her having a good life afterwards. I would just ask that you not make her be a therapist due to complicated feelings about that role– a supportive mental health role is okay but please not directly going into psychiatry.
• Niki has a bad day and everything goes wrong and just is hopeless and then someone she trusts is here to check on her and they’ve brought lasagna.

Boreal Trio

I am not immune to whumping Ranboo and having him be found by these two weird guys who are like “we have found this lad and we will be going home now with +1 lad” and ranboo’s like “oh god it’s all happening” and gets dragged along into a better future. I am eagerly putting the kettle on to sit down with an instance of them sighting each other and being like “I must immediately start doing bits at this person” and then being thrilled and delighted that the other person starts doing bits back. I simply think that inner-generational and inner-culture friendship and looking out for each other, finding each other and sticking with them. Found family in the “team as family” way of yeah no we do meals together and I’m knitting him a sweater– in no way would I think of him as my dad.

I like it when kristin is hugely powerful but still her husband’s competence is very chinhands to her, she likes to watch him do things, I like it when everyone involved a huge fan of each other’s work! What if they had this huge power deferential but they made it work? Selkie au, but Kristin lets Phil keep the skin? What if she was so aware of how breakable her beloved was and she handled him with care, and what if he adored her! Throwing myself into the sea!

Specific Prompts:

• Selkie AU. This one is inspired by the recursive au, but what if in a world where someone could be owned so completely with their skin, they chose to put themselves in someone’s hands–and then they were trustworthy with it. Does Kristin refuse the skin, or take it and put it where phil can get it at all times? What does that much control over a person do to a relationship, and how do they navigate it?
• Superhero au where kristin is poison ivy and she has a bunch of people wrapped around her finger. I think she could be so dangerous and it would be enrichment for both of them.
• Making a life in the end after canon, finding domesticity, healing grief.
• Vampire au where kristin is like the queen of vampires and phil is So Outclassed but into it.
• Sub-version of the one above, what if people met phil and were like holy shit the vampire angel of death, scary, and then phil was like happy smile, you should meet my wife, and then Kristin Arrives. GOD. What if two guys had the most unquantifiable dynamic, except at the same time it is very simple. Do not tell me to go, I will just follow you. Not father/son, but yes mentor/mentee, not friends, except yes friends, not enemies, except the wounds follow them, endeared by having them around, except I know what you did to people I care about, maybe I move into your neighborhood, maybe I am quietly happy to have you around.

Likes: I like tubbo as cheerfully abrasive and cares about people but he has never processed an emotion in his life. Which fits great next to Phil, who has never processed an emotion in his life and would love to live alone in a bunker. They can vibe. Neither of them is neurotypical. Acquired disabilities is fantastic. Setting something in canon or expanding out into an AU is wonderful. They are going to snipe and banter and also care about each other. Phil respects Tubbo. Tubbo respects Phil. I need to go put the kettle on.

Look. I watched butcher’s army stream the other day. Every time I watch a tommy media he makes a technoblade joke. I am not immune to bedrock bros.

Likes: I am chill with a very canon-focused characterization where Tommy is bitey and horrible and annoying and clearly worships Techno and is blooming into seeing him as safe and Techno is maybe not listening to anything Tommy says because he’s focused on revenge, but he is being endeared against his will. And I am chill with something with less inevitable friendship breakup in it where they’ve met because of plot and are just like that guy is friend shaped I’m taking him with me. While I’m okay with them referring to each other as bros or brothers, I would prefer to avoid actual literal brotherhood, especially bio or “grew up together” brotherhood. Likes for this ship: I like them as a bunch of imperfect people who have made mistakes and suffered grief, but are finding healing and friendship in each other. All these fragile blooming friendships and feeling like you can trust each other make me very happy. I said that but also at the same time I pictured a mafia au and that would go crazy so feel free to just lean into the “these guys disrupt the local establishment” aspect of canon. I think they should trust each other because they know the other person is a killer and there's security in that, and I think they should see a mirror in each other as they soften into family life while in quietly desperate fear of the horrors haunting them, and I think they should both bop each other about not relying on people while believing that if I personally ask for help I die, and they should also be weird about relationships in entirely different ways but they Understand Each Other.

If he can just work through some of this four centuries of emotional repression first. Any second now, he'll figure out how to talk about this— I just think they should cuddle and Phil should kiss the top of Missa's head and Missa will maybe experience a tiny heart attack from joy, you know? For death family, I like it when Phil is a survivalist with anxiety and this affects him but he’s not vilified for it– they live on death peril island. And he is not used to having people in his life and he’s sure he’s messing it up and being a crap dad/partner but he loves them all SO much. Chayanne older sibling– he cares so much and he wants to protect the world and sometimes he goes wait no I want to go home, and then he’s back to trying to protect again because he can’t do otherwise, people are in danger! And Lullah is little and has a bit of a chip on her shoulder from abandonment issues and being sure she’s second in everyone’s ranking, but she just wants to love and be loved and be part of the family– cook with them, bed next to theirs, fight alongside them. And Missa is so full of love he might break with it, and absolutely sure he’s not good enough– he had to go away, he’s just missa, he’s let them down (note: none of them feel this way about him). You know the friendship that happens when you get stranded in an isolated airport with people for 5 days? You’ve got in jokes that have in jokes? You’ve been through some SHIT together and little things like “why do you all sleep in a pile together now” is details. I love the strong friendship and loyalty here, and also the complete madcap energy of people building bits on each other for hours. Team as family but in the least nuclear way possible, just that you’re bonded forever with these people. What if they had simply the WEIRDEST dynamic and everybody was like “get a lot of those crazy guys.” I do not have specific prompts, but I would love to just see wacky hijinks!

Bagina

So I will admit that I’ve seen very little video of these two, just clips, because keeping up with QSMP was a full-time job and I already had a full schedule. But every clip I’ve seen fills me with delight. Bagi saying Goodbye I love you and combat-logging after the admission and Tina screaming and punching someone. That whole thing where Bagi and Tina both exhibit red flags at each other and both of them just bat eyes at each other like “god my favourite colour is red, do that again”. There’s a fic I read over the winter where tina was sad and to cheer her up bagi forged her signature on a wedding certificate so now they were legally married (as a surprise pick-me-up) and tina was like OMG SHE LOVES ME THIS IS SO ROMANTIC. This is the energy. They both love each other and they’re both making the most concerning behaviour at each other and finding it so romantic. Ahem. Right. Look. I have a techno VOD and a phil VOD from SMPEarth open on my desktop right now. I’m fully normal about a five year old niche minecraft series where people talking about viewers going up by 50 being noteworthy. I’m so normal. I think I could calculate my percentage of the SMPEarth tag and it would be over 1% of the entire fandom tag that I’ve written. I’m so fucking normal about this.

I’m good with appearances from characters not in the ships, and have a particular fondness for Tommy’s cringefail assassination attempts, FitMC friendship, Sophie and Techno’s immediate meeting of the minds, and Sneeg just arriving and installing himself as a friend.

Right. So. Anyone who has met me is unsurprised to find this entry in the list. Aeduo my Aeduo. They live in a frozen stronghold. They'll air strike you if you bore them. They try to go out and get steak and people declare war on them for the clout. They're being hunted by Tommyinnit, who just shot himself in the foot about it. They've got each other's back to the gates of hell. Phil just got named the angel of death. Everyone is terrified of Technoblade, who enters every social situation like "how do I make this stop happening to me as soon as possible". (Note that with this prompt I’m okay with major character death cause it doesn’t stick.)
